I lived in Hargeisa – capital of the de facto independent Republic of Somaliland – between 2009 and 2011. I was coordinating an English-language program for the University of Hargeisa, and was doing a little bit of freelance photography – particularly for big events that occurred during my time there (e.g. elections, independence celebrations)

I go back regularly.
